Bending founded a program called "Inside Art" that brought art into both the Northward Men's Prison and the Fairbanks Women's prison in the Cayman Islands. These programs were expanded to include a group of troubled teens and children. Eventually, Bending turned the programs over to the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands to bolster their suite of outreach programs. Bending gratefully thanks the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman for its moral and financial support as well as the many artists who volunteered their time and talents.
